I’ve been a loyal Macy’s customer since 1980 for the sole reason that Macy’s had excellent customer service. I tried to purchase a Mother’s Day gift certificate, five times yesterday with no luck. Twice I couldn’t make it past the fill-in form which was a nightmare; once someone else tried it with her account and had the exact same trouble; twice it went through via PayPal, using two separate accounts, only to have your fraud division cancel my purchase. 3 attempts to reach your fraud division resulted in the one person I reached hang up on me. You can look that up by the order number I gave him. That last retailer I expected to be run by robots (and treat me like a robot) was Macy’s. If you click the CONTACT link, it takes you back to the same page you clicked out of. If you call Customer Service, your wait time is 30 minutes (no matter what time you call apparently). Macy’s, people need jobs right now. Maybe hire more staff for this purpose? It is no longer Mother’s Day. I’d like to get a gift card to my mom. Please resolve this immediately.
